Assistant Controller - Construction

MGR Accounting Recruiters, a Teamshares Network company, is searching for a Controller for a client in San Antonio. Assistant Controller The Assistant Controller is a key member of the accounting team and reports directly to the Controller. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for providing financial support to all areas of the business, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Responsibilities Prepare financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement Manage the general ledger and accounts payable and receivable Prepare WIP reporting Develop and implement budgets and forecasts Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department Prepare monthly sales tax and payroll tax reports Provide financial advice and guidance to management Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required 7-12 years of experience in accounting in a construction industry related company required CPA or CMA certification a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel used consistently) Proficiency in ComputerEase a plus
