Job Summary:
The Assistant Professor of Accounting will be responsible for teaching assigned classes, developing and implementing curriculum, advising students, and participating in departmental and college-wide activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent teaching and communication skills, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach up to 15 pay hours per semester of assigned classes in accounting and business administration
- Develop and implement curriculum, including course outlines, syllabi, and assessment materials
- Advise students concerning academic achievement and learning goals
- Participate in departmental and college-wide activities, including committee meetings and faculty development
- Maintain current professional standards and practices in accounting and education
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Accounting or a related field, with at least 18 graduate credits in Accounting
- Two years of teaching experience, with a preference for experience in a post-secondary or college setting
- Five years of experience in an accounting-related field
- Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
