This position focuses on maintaining and developing informatics software tools such as databases and websites as well as mining external and internal bioinformatics and clinical data to continuously enhance the knowledgebase of Predicine. Duties and Responsibilities • Under the guidance of supervisor, establish and maintain a system of software applications and tools that our company uses to record, organize, store, secure, and access data, and our clients use to access data through the internet • Gather and analyze public and internal informatics and clinical data through pipelines and custom scripts. • Design and optimize workflows and information systems, expand and modify current systems to serve new business purposes and improve existing processes. • Measure impact, educate and train internal and external end users, manage discussions between end users and software developers. • Must be a quick learner of the latest computer and bioinformatics knowledge and tools as well as general knowledge of molecular and cellular biology as well as wet lab techniques. • Must be a team player to work with experts from multiple fields and various labs. Requirements • 4-Year degree. BA/BS in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or related. • Preferred experience is two years industry experience as a full stack engineer or experience as a research assistant in university labs and/or a research and development intern in industry, preferably biotech companies. Software design and implementation experience in web and database systems. • Machine learning experience in regression, PCA, neural networks, clustering, classification, random forests preferred or experience wit multiple programming languages including Java, Python, R, SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React.
