Job Summary
As our Associate Manager, Finance, you will be responsible for supporting the accounting function for Flex US, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic insights to drive business decisions. This is a 100% remote opportunity, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere and control your work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Provide monthly and quarterly financial reports, including variance analysis, to the Flex US Controller and leadership team.
- Accounting Support: Support the accounting function for Flex US, ensuring accurate and timely month-end close and financial reporting.
- Internal Controls and Compliance: Ensure adherence to corporate finance policies by supporting the maintenance of internal controls and reviewing account reconciliations.
- Operational Excellence: Support operational excellence initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve and standardize financial processes within Flex US.
- Technical Accounting Support: Provide technical accounting support and guidance on complex transactions (e.g., revenue recognition criteria).
- Account Reconciliations and Compliance: Perform account reconciliations and financial compliance reviews for high-risk transactions associated with customer contracts (e.g., end-of-term oversight and true-up monitoring).
- Balance Sheet Reviews: Execute balance sheet reviews timely and accurately to mitigate/resolve any P&L risk for Flex US and commercial divisions.
- Business Partnership: Act as a key finance partner to the Flex US business unit, providing insights to support key business decisions and strategic growth.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with divisional finance leadership to understand business needs of utilizing Flex US for sales growth opportunities, effectively communicate associated P&L risks, and provide detailed reporting that measures contractual performance.
- Special Projects: Engage with cross-functional teams to support special projects related to business development and financial analysis.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional Experience: 6+ years of experience in general accounting, finance, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling and data analysis.
- Big 4 Accounting Experience: Experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm.
- Sarbanes Oxley Experience: Experience with Sarbanes Oxley compliance and internal controls.
- Financial Controls Experience: Experience with financial controls and risk management.
