Morning Consult is a global decision intelligence company that focuses on improving how leaders make informed decisions. They are seeking an Associate, Research & Sample Strategy to manage internal research initiatives, facilitate operations, and align projects with business objectives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating with some of the world's leading experts in survey methodology to understand project objectives, create timelines and manage the execution of initiatives within the Research Operations & Analytics group
- Collaborating on research operations, building systems and processes to field incoming requests, prioritizing individual tasks and tracking project progress
- Maintaining and scaling project management databases to help drive efficiency
- Creating and maintaining documentation, memos and project reports for internal and external audiences
- Performing such other tasks and duties as may be required or assigned from time to time in the Company’s discretion
Skills
- BA/MA in a social science — communication, psychology, political science, economics or a related field
- 1-2+ years of experience in survey research, project management or a similar role
- Experience with data analytics and/or survey methodology a plus
- Demonstrated curiosity about AI tools (i.e., ChatGPT, Claude) and experience leveraging them to improve research workflows, documentation, analysis, or operational efficiency
- Strong project management skills, ability to oversee multiple projects in parallel and take initiative on projects
- Experience with lean or agile project management; experience with Asana or Jira a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to adapt to the audience to translate findings into digestible and actionable insights
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets
- Comfort working in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
- Low ego, consummate team player; comfortable working across departments and job levels
- Willing to take feedback, learn and grow; an ethos of continuous self-improvement
