Attorney, Banking and Finance (100% Remote)

They prevent online fraud and money laundering and help insurance companies evaluate and predict risk. We are seeking a contract Attorney, Banking and Finance with 3-5 years of experience in the banking & finance practice area to help draft and review “how-to” type practical guidance, legal and market trend analysis, and research in case law, treatises and various other legal resources for a wide range of banking & finance topics. Significant substantive experience representing agent banks, arrangers, non-bank lenders, and other financial institutions, as well as sponsors and corporate borrowers with a variety of financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and related documentation. Experience in acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, private credit lending, asset finance, project finance and restructurings. Part-time, 15-20 hours/week Responsibilities • Develop, edit and/or write practical guidance on how to conduct tasks and analyze issues relevant to the banking & finance practice area • Draft, review, and annotate relevant form documents and checklists Qualifications • Law degree from an accredited law school • Active bar membership in good standing, any state • 3-5 years of experience (preferably with an AMLaw 100/200 firm) as a banking and finance attorney • Significant substantive experience representing agent banks, arrangers, and other financial institutions, as well as sponsors and corporate borrowers in a variety of financing transactions, including drafting and negotiating credit agreements, security documents, guarantees, intercreditor agreements and related documentation • Experience in acquisition and leveraged finance, syndicated lending, private credit lending, asset finance, project finance and restructurings • Excellent writing, editing, and online legal research skills • Comfortable working in Microsoft Word, Excel, and in conducting online research, and AI • Strong practical writer with the ability to write effectively and concisely • Interview process will consist of an interview and a writing assessment* We offer a competitive salary range for this position.
