BI Tech Lead​/Power BI

Position: BI Tech Lead (Power BI) Location: Snowflake Acting as a technical lead on data visualization projects. Designing and implementing complex solutions leveraging Microsoft Power BI, Power Platform, and Azure. Educating junior resources. Remaining up-to-date on product improvements/releases and working closely with internal teams to stay current on product developments. Participating in the entire solution implementation process – from taking pre-sales activities, analysis, collecting customer requirements to design and development of reports and dashboards. Requirements Minimum 6-8 years in IT industry. Minimum 4 years of experience in creating reports and dashboards in the Power BI tool. Very good knowledge of DAX, Power Query M, SQL languages. Knowledge about Microsoft Fabric. Knowledge about data modeling, reports performance tuning, business requirements gathering, and translating them into solutions. Hands-on experience with different connectivity modes (import, direct, live). Knowledge about PBI work spaces maintenance and administration (Gateways, security, etc.). Knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform. Very good technical knowledge, problem-solving, and critical thinking. Ability to translate technical solution advantages into business value for customers. English language proficiency is a must, both verbal and written. Experience in delivering end-to-end dashboards starting from requirements gathering, understanding business needs, design, development, testing, and maintenance. Aware of the newest features in Power BI. Nice to have: Experience with direct query mode performance optimization on database, PBI, and DAX side. Experience with CI/CD and version controlling. Knowledge of other BI tools (Looker, Tableau). Knowledge of Databricks. Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure platform (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Analysis Services, Tabular Models) or other cloud solutions (Snowflake, GCP, AWS). Knowledge about databases (MS SQL, Oracle, or similar). Experience: Working for international customers and teams. Working in agile or agile/waterfall projects. Working with stakeholders at different seniority and maturity levels. Participating in creating end-to-end BI solutions (requirements, data modeling, reports mockups, dashboards creation, CI/CD, security setup, workspace maintenance) with 100M+ rows datasets.
