Billing Insurance Verification Specialist DME - REMOTE

About the position Responsibilities • Verify customers' insurance for various medical supplies and equipment. • Process incoming verification tasks, prescriptions, referrals, and insurance changes. • Contact clients, caregivers, and doctors to obtain necessary client information. • Collect and store credit card information for co-pays. • Load insurance into accounts and build skeleton accounts as needed. • Research insurance guidelines via the Internet and provider materials. • Submit reports to leaders as requested. Requirements • 2+ years of experience in a Medical Billing role requiring patient insurance verification and account setup. • 2+ years of medical billing coding experience. • Ability to follow multi-step procedures and apply attention to detail. • Proficient in using computer systems and maintaining good records effectively. • Strong ability to handle multiple tasks at various stages of completion. • High school diploma or GED.
