About the Position:
As an Interpreter, you will provide accurate and efficient interpretation in various settings, facilitating effective communication between individuals who speak English, Ukranian or Russian.
Maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism when interpreting sensitive information.
Showcase cultural awareness and sensitivity to bridge not only language gaps but also cultural differences.
Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to deliver outstanding language services.
Responsibilities:
- Provide over the phone and video remote consecutive interpretation services in a variety of settings, including medical, emergency, legal, social, and customer service environments.
- Accurately and effectively convey messages between speakers of Russian/Ukranian and English.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Research and prepare to ensure a thorough understanding.
- Remain culturally sensitive and aware.
- Be punctual, professional, and reliable.
- Familiarize yourself with our company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure and handle stressful or emotional situations in a professional manner.
- Outstanding listening, retention and note-taking skills.
- Previous Interpretation experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with medical, legal, and business terminology.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Proficient understanding of cultural sensitivity, and ability to collaborate with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Equipment Requirements:
- Must run the latest version of Windows 10/11 or MAC 12.7 minimum with updates enabled for both OS and Microsoft products to ensure security patches and fixed are applied. Remote/virtual/cloud PC are not allowed.
- Internet Service must be Starlink, xDSL, Coaxial or Fiber. We don’t accept LTE/4G, Wi-Fi or the use of Wireless repeaters or Dorm/Co-Working/Building wide internet.
- Wired headset. Must be good quality, USB, uni-directional mic.
- The camera must be 1080p.
- CPU: Intel 6th Generation (e.g., Core i5-6xxx) or an AMD equivalent, or newer.
- RAM: A minimum of 8GB of RAM.
- Solid white or blue background.
- Good lighting, no dim lights. Use of light rings is recommended.
- Formal attire for video presence.
Women: Blouses and formal tops. No clivage, distracting patterns, or bright colors.
Men: Formal shirt, ties, pullover. No T-shirts, tank tops, sweatshirts, or hoodies. No bright colors or distracting patterns.
No use of hats (Religious attire is accepted)
