This role involves comprehensive editing, formatting, copy editing, and final-stage proofreading to deliver polished, publication-ready content.
The ideal candidate has exceptional language skills, a sharp editorial eye, and the ability to manage multiple manuscripts while maintaining accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform substantive and developmental editing to improve structure, clarity, and flow
Conduct detailed copy editing to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and proper usage
Format manuscripts according to internal and external style guides (APA, MLA, Chicago, or publisher-specific standards)
Proofread final documents to eliminate errors before publication
Ensure consistency in tone, terminology, and formatting across manuscripts
Collaborate with authors and internal teams to address revisions and feedback
Track changes and maintain version control throughout the editorial process
