Employer Industry: Government - Insurance Regulation Why consider this job opportunity: - Salary up to $7,254.00 monthly - Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, retirement, and paid leave - Supportive work environment that values diversity and professional growth - Flexible schedules with telework opportunities to promote work-life balance - Opportunity to contribute to public service and make a meaningful impact on consumers - Ongoing training and development opportunities including tuition reimbursement What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Prepare monthly budget status reports and assist with fiscal note processes - Analyze complex statistical data for biennial and supplemental operating budgets - Support revenue projections for external agency requests - Serve as the agency's payroll expert and manage grant applications and reporting - Collaborate with agency leadership and external partners to provide financial analysis What is Required (Qualifications): - Eight (8) years of full-time relevant professional accounting experience, including budget planning and monitoring - A degree in a financial-related field or relevant certification may substitute for experience - Successful completion of 18 quarter or 12 semester hours in accounting, auditing, or budgeting - Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel - Knowledge of Washington State budget concepts and accounting systems How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Five (5) years of experience as a Senior Budget Analyst - Three (3) years of professional experience with the Washington State Budget process - Formal project management training and/or certification - Experience implementing process improvement strategies in a government setting - Familiarity with project management software for tracking and visual design #InsuranceRegulation #GovernmentJobs #PublicService #Budgeting #CareerGrowth We prioritize candidate privacy and champion equal-opportunity employment.
