Job Summary
The Director, Business Development, is an individual contributor responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding client relationships, and developing strategic partnerships within the financial services industry. This role requires a highly experienced professional who leads through influenced business development efforts end-to-end while collaborating cross-functionally to shape strategy, solutions, and market approach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and execute a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company growth objectives. This person would be focused on the larger end of our market – banks with $5B+ AUM, ideally $10B+.
- Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities within financial institutions, fintechs, and related sectors
- Build and maintain senior-level relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor
- Lead the full sales lifecycle, including prospecting, solutioning, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Drive strategic conversations with clients, translating business needs into tailored solutions
- Partner closely with internal teams (consulting, product, marketing) to develop and deliver high-impact client engagements
- Influence go-to-market strategy, service offerings, and client solutions through market insight and client feedback
- Establish and cultivate strategic alliances and partnerships to expand market presence
- Representing the firm at industry events, conferences, and networking engagements
- Track and manage pipeline activity, revenue forecasts, and performance metrics
