Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the attorneys' calendars, scheduling court appearances, depositions, and client meetings.
- Track and monitor court deadlines and ensure compliance with necessary legal timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court staff regarding appointment confirmations and scheduling changes.
- Utilize case management software to organize and document all scheduled events accurately.
- Provide timely reminders to attorneys regarding key appointments and deadlines.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents as needed.
- Support the administrative team with various tasks to enhance overall workflows.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a calendar clerk or legal assistant, with a strong understanding of the U.S. legal system.
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal calendars, timelines, and legal terminology.
- Experience with legal case management software, preferably CLIO or LAWMATICS.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and prioritize deadlines effectively.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook for scheduling.
- Capability to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
- Available to work flexible hours to accommodate varying schedules.
