CAM Default Accounting Analyst

About the position The CAM Default Accounting Analyst at M&T Bank plays a crucial role in leading and participating in projects within the Default Servicing area, also known as Customer Asset Management (CAM). This position involves collaboration with various business partners to enhance technology and system processes while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The analyst will be responsible for conducting detailed analyses, producing reports, and supporting departmental audits, all aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of CAM operations. Responsibilities • Serve as a resource in a defined area of CAM and represent business practices in various projects. , • Interact with business partners across multiple platforms to leverage technology and system enhancements. , • Develop and produce non-routine departmental reports and spreadsheets, including analyses and historical reporting. , • Conduct non-routine analysis and judgment-based work to support CAM decisions. , • Perform data review, research, and reconciliation for assigned areas of CAM. , • Draft and edit procedures related to CAM functional areas to maintain their currency. , • Support departmental audits, user certifications, and compliance testing for CAM. , • Lead and participate in planning, testing, and implementing new projects and regulatory changes. , • Assist with departmental system support and coordinate with internal and external partners to address issues. , • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management. Requirements • Associate degree and a minimum of 3 years' related experience, or a combined minimum of 5 years' higher education and/or work experience including 3 years' related experience. , • Experience in collections and/or default servicing. , • Proven analytical skills. , • Strong organizational skills. , • Proficiency with personal computers and pertinent word processing and spreadsheet software. , • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
