About the position The Cash Application Accountant is responsible for managing accounting tasks and balance sheet reconciliations related to cash applications for customer accounts and prepaid accounting activities across North America. This role plays a crucial part in the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies and procedures. Responsibilities • Assist with the coordination of the month-end close process to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and completeness. • Compile and reconcile financial data for month-end close. • Maintain financial records in compliance with accepted policies and procedures. • Prepare and maintain support for various balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with an emphasis in Accounting or Finance. • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance. • Excellent understanding of GAAP and ability to apply these principles in practice. • Working knowledge of financial and accounting concepts and practices. • Broad understanding of internal controls. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and advanced Excel skills. • Experience and knowledge of SAP.
