Class A Truck Operator

Company Overview Dollar General is hiring Class A Truck Operator for regional routes that offer dependable weekly home time. As an essential part of our private fleet, you'll help transport products from our distribution centers to stores across the U.S. We’re dedicated to supporting our drivers so they can focus on delivering goods safely and efficiently to the communities we serve. Role and Responsibilities • Operate a Class A commercial truck safely across assigned regional routes. • Deliver freight from Dollar General distribution centers to retail stores, including return hauls when needed. • Ensure accurate and timely deliveries, including support for new store openings. • Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) rules and internal safety policies. • Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle. • Maintain accurate driving logs and delivery documentation to meet compliance standards. Required Skills and Experience • Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A). • Must be 21 years of age or older. • Minimum of one year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience. Preferred Qualifications • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices. • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and in-cab technology. • Background in regional or store delivery routes is a plus.
