Client Service Lead / Senior Accountant (US Based)

Your Role: As Client Service Lead you have two primary responsibilities: (1) You are the key relationship manager maintaining and building client relationships while serving as their trusted accounting advisor. You are instrumental in helping clients understand their financial numbers to drive strategic business decisions; (2) You guide a talented team of Accounting Managers and Technicians to ensure quality work on the monthly financial close process and other inventory accounting activities. You act as a subject matter expert for the accounting team when challenges arise in the accounting process and mentor junior team members to grow their accounting skill-set. Additional responsibilities include: · Lead a team of Accounting Managers and Staff to provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close and reporting to our small and mid-sized business clients · Use GAAP principles to monitor compliance, accounting policies and procedures · Work with our cross functional team in cleanup projects, implementation, and accounting process development · Be a subject matter expert, leading the financial reviews to ensure that the team delivers a high quality work product · Coach and mentor junior accounting staff · Leverage your position as a trusted advisor to the client to identify and utilize technologies to improve internal and clients’ accounting processes Skills and Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting · 7+ years of full cycle accounting experience · 2+ years in team leadership/ mentoring · Gusto, Karbon, Bill.com, Divvy, BigTime, HubDoc, ChargeOver, Quickbooks, Netsuite · Impeccable verbal and written communication skills · Proactive with strong project management and execution experience · Thrives on solving problems and has a growth mindset · Must be team orientated and enjoys helping teammates grow · Enthusiastic in learning new technology · Proficient with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel Preferred Qualifications: · Public accounting or advisory experience is a strong plus · Experience supporting small and medium sized companies in the consumer goods industry and in-house accounting experience Competitive Salary: DOE Benefits: · Medical, Dental & Vision insurance · Generous PTO & Holiday pay · Company provided Laptop · Many internal growth opportunities · Remote role with flexible work schedule About Us: The KeepingCount group of companies provides accounting, bookkeeping, tax advisory, and CFO services to businesses in a variety of industry verticals such as real estate, life sciences, e-commerce, and more.
