Pediatric Private Duty Registered Nurse (RN) Specialty: Medically Fragile Pediatrics Setting: One-on-One Care in the Patient’s Home Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide one-on-one nursing care to medically fragile infants, children, and adolescents in a home setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, advanced nursing skills, and the ability to work independently while following the physician’s Plan of Care. Patient Population Our nurses care for pediatric patients with complex medical needs, including but not limited to: • Tracheostomy-dependent patients • Ventilator-dependent patients • G-tube and J-tube feedings • Seizure disorders • Neurological impairments • Genetic or congenital conditions • Chronic lung disease or respiratory compromise • Prematurity-related complications • Developmental delays requiring skilled nursing • Mobility limitations or total care needs Clinical Skills & Competencies Qualified RNs should be experienced or willing to be trained in: • Tracheostomy care and suctioning • Mechanical ventilator management • G-tube/J-tube feeding and medication administration • Seizure monitoring and emergency response • Oxygen therapy and pulse oximetry • Airway management • Medication administration (oral, enteral, nebulized, etc.) • Infection control practices • Developmental and safety monitoring Core Responsibilities • Perform skilled nursing assessments and continuous patient monitoring • Follow and implement the physician’s Plan of Care • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed • Provide tracheostomy care, suctioning, and airway management • Manage ventilators (training available if needed) • Perform enteral feedings and medication administration • Monitor oxygen therapy and vital signs • Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient condition • Provide emergency interventions when necessary • Maintain accurate, timely nursing documentation • Educate and support family caregivers • Ensure patient safety and infection control at all times Qualifications Required: • Active, unrestricted Maryland RN license (or Compact RN license) • Current CPR/BLS certification • Ability to work independently in a home care setting Experience Requirement: • Minimum of one (1) year of hands-on direct care nursing experience with a medically fragile pediatric population within the last three (3) years Pay: $45.00 - $60.00 per hour Benefits: • Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
