Work Environment This is a fully remote position, allowing counselors to work from the comfort of their own homes while leveraging innovative digital tools to connect with clients and fellow healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities • Conduct thorough preliminary interviews to assess clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, meticulously documenting cases from initial consultations through the treatment process. • Develop and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups. • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based techniques to promote healing and empowerment among clients. • Monitor clients' progress through regular assessments and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes. • Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team of mental health specialists, general practitioners, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients. • Engage in proactive follow-ups with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers for clients who require hospitalization or specialized care. • Identify and mitigate behavioral patterns that may hinder recovery, focusing on holistic approaches to promote resilience. • Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing the mental and behavioral challenges faced by their loved ones. Patient Population / Client Focus Our center serves a diverse clientele experiencing various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction disorders. As a mental health counselor, you will have the opportunity to work with individuals from various demographics, giving you a broad understanding of the unique challenges they face and how best to support their recovery process. Qualifications • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Oregon. • A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). • Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a solid understanding of psychotherapy principles and techniques. • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, especially AVATAR, is strongly preferred. • A comprehensive understanding of physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders. • Familiarity with best practices as identified by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others. Preferred Experience • Prior experience working in a community health clinic or a similar healthcare setting is advantageous. • Hands-on experience in group therapy and workshops aimed at personal development and emotional healing. • An understanding of the pharmacological aspects of mental health treatment and the effects of medications prescribed by medical specialists. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
