A fast‑growing organization in the industrial services / food operations space is expanding its safety and compliance team and hiring a Compliance Manager, EHS & Food Safety to support locations across the U.S.
This is a newly created, manager‑level role (no direct reports) focused on owning and enhancing established EHS and HACCP‑based food safety programs, supporting multi‑site operations, conducting audits, and partnering closely with operations, fleet, and field leadership. Ideal for someone who enjoys program ownership, field travel, and strengthening compliance in a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
What You'll Do:
• Maintain, improve, and scale existing EHS & food safety programs
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and HACCP/food safety assessments
• Support unannounced regulatory visits and customer assessments
• Review findings and drive corrective and preventive actions
• Deliver training, support onboarding, and build field capability
• Ensure compliance with FDA, OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state/local regulations
• Lead documentation readiness (revision control, record retention, audit prep)
• Support investigation of incidents, complaints, and compliance deviations
• Partner with Operations, Fleet, and Facilities on EHS/FS considerations
• Assist with environmental responsibilities: waste handling, spills, chemical safety, storage
• Support mock recalls, traceability exercises, and proactive risk mitigation
What We're Looking For:
• At least 5+ years of EHS and/or food safety experience (multi‑site required - must have)
• Experience managing or scaling HACCP‑based food safety programs
• Strong working knowledge of FDA / OSHA / EPA regulatory frameworks
• Experience conducting audits, inspections, and cross‑functional training
• Ability to influence without authority and guide field teams
• Excellent communication, documentation, and follow‑through
• Willingness to travel 50%+, ideally located near a major airport
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Food Science, Industrial Safety, or related field
• (OR equivalent hands-on field experience with relevant certifications)
• HACCP Manager/Auditor certification (ASQ or equivalent)
• EHS certifications (CSP, ASP, etc.) a plus
