ACUE is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Conference & Events Manager to lead the logistics and operational execution of our growing portfolio of 50-80+ annual events, including conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and internal and partner gatherings. This role is responsible for translating event strategy into clear plans, timelines, and flawless execution. While Marketing, Partnerships, and Faculty Success teams define event goals, messaging, and content, this role owns the operational delivery — ensuring events run smoothly, on time, and on budget. Event Project Management & Execution • Own end-to-end logistics for events across conferences, tradeshows, webinars, and internal/partner events • Build and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and task trackers for each event • Coordinate venues, vendors, shipping, staffing logistics, and materials • Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and to a high standard of quality • Travel to select events to support on-site execution (10-15%) Budget & Vendor Management • Track and manage event budgets and expenses • Process invoices and ensure accurate reconciliation • Liaise with vendors and venues on contracts, timelines, and deliverables • Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and experience standards Swag & Inventory Operations • Own sourcing, ordering, and inventory management of company swag and conference materials • Forecast needs across the annual event calendar • Manage storage, tracking, and distribution logistics • Ensure the right materials are available at the right time for every event Process Improvement & Systems Building • Develop and maintain event playbooks, templates, checklists, and standard operating procedures • Create scalable workflows that improve efficiency and minimize last-minute work • Implement tools and reporting to track timelines, budgets, and outcomes • Continuously refine processes based on lessons learned and stakeholder feedback Cross-Functional Collaboration • Partner closely with Marketing, Partnerships, and Leadership to understand event objectives and requirements • Translate strategic plans into actionable operational plans • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for event execution Skills & Experience • 2-4 years of experience in project management, event operations, or logistics-heavy coordination roles • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • Experience tracking budgets and managing vendors • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate logistical information clearly and represent ACUE professionally with both internal and external stakeholders. • Comfortable working cross-functionally in a collaborative environment • Ability to travel 10-15% Preferred • Experience supporting conferences, tradeshows, or B2B events • Experience building processes, playbooks, or operational systems • Experience in higher education, SaaS, or mission-driven organizations Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Employee assistance program • Employee discount • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Health savings account • Life insurance • Paid time off • Parental leave • Retirement plan • Tuition reimbursement • Vision insurance Application Question(s): • Describe an event or project you personally owned from planning through execution.
