Commercial Truck Driver (CDL Class A with Tanker Endorsement) D&J Construction Company, a leading highway contractor in Louisiana, is seeking experienced and dependable CDL Class A Truck Drivers with a Tanker Endorsement to join our team. This role involves hauling construction materials to job sites and assisting with highway construction crew activities when not driving. Non-driving time a maximum of 25%. Position Overview: The Commercial Tanker Truck Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials to and from job sites. When not driving, the driver will assist with general highway construction-related tasks, ensuring smooth project operations. Key Responsibilities: Operate a Class A CDL truck with tanker endorsement to transport construction materials safely and efficiently. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations. Secure loads properly and ensure safe material transport. Assist with highway construction tasks when not driving, up to 25% of the time. Communicate effectively with site supervisors and team members. Job Requirements: Valid CDL Class A license with Tanker Endorsement. 1 year of recent commercial truck driving experience. No DWI/DUI within the last 7 years. Prior experience hauling construction materials preferred. Ability to perform light highway construction tasks as needed. Must be safety-conscious and comply with all DOT and company regulations. Additional Information & Requirements: Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts. Must have a valid email address for communication.
