Job Title: Content Migration Specialist (Temporary – Junior Level) Location: Remote (DMV area candidates preferred) Duration: Approx. 2 months (with possibility of shorter or extended timeline) Schedule: 35 hours/week Compensation: $25-28/hour hour – commensurate with experience Equipment: Provided About the Role: We’re looking for a detail-oriented Content Migration Specialist to support a short-term website project. In this role, you’ll assist with the transition of content from our legacy websites to a newly designed site. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their digital/content career looking to get hands-on experience with content management systems and web production. What You’ll Do: • Migrate and organize content from existing websites into a new CMS • Copy and paste text, upload images, and format content for new pages • Build out basic page layouts using predefined templates • Ensure accuracy and consistency of migrated content • Use your design instincts to arrange content and images in visually appealing ways • Collaborate with the project lead to stay aligned on priorities and timelines • Assist with basic project coordination tasks (e.g., tracking progress, flagging blockers) What We’re Looking For: • Real-world experience working in a content management system (Wagtail experience is a plus, but not required) • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills • A good eye for layout and design – you don’t need to be a designer, but should be comfortable building clean, user-friendly pages • Some experience with project coordination or task tracking • Comfortable with repetitive tasks and able to maintain accuracy • Able to work independently and manage time effectively • Reliable internet connection (if remote) Bonus Points For: • Familiarity with Wagtail or similar CMS platforms • Experience with basic HTML/CSS (not required, but helpful) • Previous experience in a content-heavy or web production role This is a temporary position with a fast-moving timeline.
