Clinicians collaborate closely with patients to design sustainable, tailored wellness strategies. About The Role Design Wellness is seeking a licensed physician (MD/DO) who currently owns and operates their own private practice and is looking to see additional patients through a flexible, remote arrangement. This role supports our GLP-1 weight management patients and base-package nutrition and wellness patients via telehealth. Hours are scheduled in blocks based on patient volume and your availability. • Conduct telehealth consultations for new and existing GLP-1 patients, including intake evaluation, prescribing decisions, and ongoing dose management. • Provide care for base-package nutrition and wellness patients, including general health assessments and treatment recommendations within scope. • Review patient history, labs, and contraindications prior to prescribing GLP-1 medications. • Document all visits accurately and promptly in the company's EMR/telehealth platform. • Respond to patient messages and follow-up questions within agreed turnaround times. • Collaborate with the Design Wellness clinical and support team on patient escalations or safety concerns. • Maintain compliance with California and Nevada telehealth and prescribing regulations. Qualifications • Active, unrestricted MD or DO license in California OR Nevada. • Currently practicing, with an established private practice. • Experience with GLP-1 medications (semaglutide, tirzepatide, etc.) and weight management protocols preferred. • Comfortable with telehealth platforms and remote patient care. • Familiar with intuitive eating principles and exercise/physical activity guidance as part of a non-diet, sustainable approach to wellness. • Strong communication skills and ability to manage patient volume efficiently within scheduled hours. • DEA registration in good standing. Compensation • Paid hourly for scheduled session blocks (rate based on experience — to be discussed). • Flexible scheduling designed to supplement, not replace, your existing practice. Engagement Type This is a 1099 independent contractor position. The physician will maintain their own malpractice insurance (unless otherwise arranged), manage their own taxes, and retain full autonomy over their independent practice outside of this engagement.
