Controller/ Cost Accountant

Company: Client of The Griffin Groupe Executive Search Job Type: Full Time Location: Perry, FL Industry: Manufacturing Rate: $125K+ Plus Bonus and Benefits Relocation: Offered for experienced candidates Controller/Cost Accountant THE OPPORTUNITY The Griffin Groupe is searching for talented accounting professionals to join our client company in the food manufacturing industry. RESPONSIBILITIES ? Planning and directing all accounting functions ? Managing the accumulation and consolidation of all financial data necessary for an accurate accounting of business data ? Preparing internal and external financial statements ? Manage the budget process ? Develop and monitor business performance metrics ? Oversee regulatory reporting ? frequently including tax planning and compliance ? Management of accounts receivable and accounts payable ? Preparation and release of wire transfers / ACH?s ? Reconciliation of corporate bank accounts ? Coordinate physical inventory and cycle counts and investigate and resolve discrepancies ? Maintain the Bill of Materials and update standard costs ? Prepare variance analysis (actual vs standard) and propose appropriate actions ? Develop productivity analysis tools REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS ? Degree in accounting or finance ? Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting Manager / Controller role ? Minimum of 3 years Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment ? Must have good written and verbal communication skills ? Must have stable work experience and good attendance record BENEFITS ?
