About the position
Responsibilities
• Oversight and supervision of all finance, accounting and reporting activities for the US company
• Recommend, implement and maintain effective financial controls and benchmarks to measure the company's performance
• Provide tax plans and maintain compliance with all federal, state and local corporate, payroll and other applicable taxes
• Organize and manage the archiving of various financial and corporate record files
• Ensure timely work completion and a high quality of work product
• Administer oversight of bi-weekly and monthly payroll processing
• Assist in the evaluation of employee benefit and retirement coverages for the company
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for the company and assist with required reporting for the North American and Global groups
• Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for business units and operating company
• Manage the finance and administrative systems to support operations, including financial forecasts and annual budgets for the North American group
• Coordinate with the company's external accountants for the annual review, applicable tax returns and reports
• Liaise with company lawyers, insurance brokers, and other external professionals
• Partner with the CFO, finance team, senior leadership, and other SRK business support services staff to enhance the integration of the finance and business support services functions
• Build and maintain credibility with the senior leadership team by addressing business or financial issues, providing sound advice and guidance
• Supervise accounting staff, including mentoring, training and performance reviews to maximize the individuals and organizational goals
• Provide oversight and management of the ERP system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Finance
• Assist the CFO in the implementation of corporate financial policies and procedures
• Travel to other North American or Global offices as required
• Maintain flexibility in work from home and office, with a minimum of two days a week expected in the office.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business-related fields
• CPA certification or CMA designation
• 10 plus years of hands-on progressive accounting and managerial experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
• Financial management and communication proficiency
• Ability to prioritize, delegate and work with multiple staff
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to be proactive in dealing with daily business
• Service and team-oriented, ability to collaborate effectively
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems such as Dynamics 365 and Excel
• Familiarity with other Office programs such as Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI
• Experience with USA corporate and personal taxes
• Knowledge of foreign currency transactions and withholding taxes
• Experience supervising accounting staff
