Controller – General Ledger – G/L – G.L. – Month-End – COGS – Cost of Goods Sold – Wholesale – System Implementation – System Migration – CPG - Inventory Are you an Assistant Controller or Director of Accounting with food and/or beverage manufacturing experience? If so, then we want to talk to you about a Controller opportunity that we are working on. A startup CPG company is looking to add a Controller to their team. In this newly created position, the Controller will be responsible for owning the GL and month-end close, COGS, and spearheading system implementation projects. What do you need for this Controller role? • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field • 15 years of accounting experience • MUST have food or beverage experience • If not food or beverage experience, then CPG with public accounting experience and a CPA • Advanced Excel What will you do in this Controller role? • Prepare and oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to the leadership team. • Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimize financial resources to support growth. • Oversee accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and banking relationships. • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including tax filings. • Establish, document, and maintain robust internal controls and accounting policies. • Coordinate external audits and act as the primary point of contact for auditors. • Implement and maintain accounting and financial reporting software. • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and scalability.
