I’m seeking an experienced line editor (developmental editor optional) to review and refine a completed 400-page manuscript. The book is nonfiction spiritual realm, and I’m looking for someone who can help elevate it to a professional, publish-ready standard. Scope of Work: Developmental Editing: Analyze the manuscript’s overall structure, pacing, flow, and character/idea development. Provide actionable feedback and suggestions for improvement to enhance clarity, engagement, and coherence. Line Editing: Perform an in-depth line-by-line review to refine sentence structure, grammar, and word choice for style, tone, and readability without losing the author’s voice. Ensure consistency in tone, tense, and formatting throughout. Provide a clear editorial letter summarizing key recommendations and insights. Ideal Candidate: 3+ years minimum of experience editing books in nonfiction. A strong portfolio of published projects. Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate on revisions.
