CPA Tax Preparer - Senior - Manager Level w/ Income Partner Potential

TAX ACCOUNTANTS WANTED Full Job Description We're growing and expanding to more locations. Southern CPA is looking to hire a tax accountant with at least 7 years of tax preparation experience. We are a well-established accounting firm here in the heart of Ocala. We are seeking an experienced and exceptional tax preparer for individual, partnership, trust, and 1120-S corporate tax returns, as well as tax planning and consulting services to high-end and medium-sized businesses and high-net-worth clientele. The person best suited for this position will be adaptable, a quick learner, and able to view taxes from an entrepreneurial point of view. Our culture is very important to us and sets us apart from most other CPA firms. Pay range does not include additional pay such as production bonuses, client acquisition, or income partner level candidate bonuses, these would be in addition to the base pay. This is not a salary position. If you work overtime, you are paid for your over-time work. If you have an existing firm and would like to be hired and bring your clients, we offer bonuses for those clients brought with you. The current position is for a Senior to Manager level position with possibility of partner positions for the right candidate. Benefits: • 3% match IRA Retirement Plan Minimum Requirements: • 5+ years experience in senior level or higher in tax and public accounting, must have public accounting experience • CPA Required • Bachelor’s degree • Efficient and organized with time & preparation • Skilled in all tax returns (1040, Schedule C, 1120-S, 1065, Trust returns, etc.) • Ability to professionally engage with clients, verbally and in writing Responsibilities: • Duties include but are not limited to obtaining and saving client documents and providing clients with journal entries • Work flexible shifts and meet tight deadlines • Maintain tax prep priorities and deliverables • Conduct face-to-face tax meetings with clients • Completes all related tax forms in accordance with policies, and in compliance with legislation and regulations • Evaluate all tax return forms for accuracy and completeness Company DescriptionWe are a growing accounting firm in the heart of Ocala with over 400 clients and expanding quickly; therefore, there are lots of opportunities for growth and your own office location.
