CPA/EA needed (U.S. based only)

Description: We're an AI-driven tax technology company looking for experienced tax professionals to support our internal product, this role is pretty straight forward. We give you documents, and you label them by saying this is a K1, 1099, 1040, W2 etc. Explain what you see and what information is present and what information is missing. This is ideal for someone with a tax background who enjoys detail-oriented work and is comfortable with tax forms and documentation. Key Responsibilities: - Review and label tax documents (1040s, 1065s, 1120, 1120-S, and supporting schedules) - Evaluate AI-generated tax return outputs for accuracy - Identify missing data, mismatches, or errors in return drafts - Record findings clearly and consistently in structured spreadsheets or dashboards - Collaborate with team to flag edge cases or breakdowns in the system - Meet deadlines with an ability to work independently Requirements: - 2+ years experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, or accounting - Familiarity with U.S. tax documents and forms - Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills - Able to follow structured processes and meet project goals on time - Comfortable working remotely and independently Nice to Have: - Experience with tax software like ProConnect, Drake, UltraTax, or Axcess - Prior work with labeling or evaluation projects (even outside of tax) - Availability to start quickly and dedicate at least 20 hours per week This is a remote, contract-based role with the potential for ongoing work.
