Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Data Center Electrical Engineering role based in the San Francisco Bay Area. The role involves designing, reviewing, and maintaining electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, backup power, and grounding infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include performing load analysis, reviewing electrical drawings, coordinating with mechanical and IT teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. The engineer will monitor system performance, support capacity planning, troubleshoot electrical issues, and implement improvements to enhance reliability and energy efficiency. The role also requires collaborating with vendors and contractors, participating in commissioning activities, and maintaining accurate documentation of electrical systems and changes. Qualifications • Candidates should possess strong Data Analytics and Data Analysis skills to evaluate electrical system performance and reliability. • Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills and Data Modeling capabilities to support capacity planning and optimization of power systems. • Candidates should possess solid Data Management skills to organize, maintain, and interpret operational and maintenance records for data center infrastructure. • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field. • Experience with data center electrical design, power distribution, UPS systems, and emergency power generation. • Knowledge of relevant electrical codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEEE) and best practices for mission-critical facilities. • Proficiency with electrical design and modeling tools, and familiarity with building management or monitoring systems. • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly. • Prior experience in high-availability or large-scale data center environments is beneficial.
