We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Process Automation and Analytics team within the Finance Data & Insights organization. Your responsibility will be to support the Finance, Accounting and Legal organizations through data analytics, process automation, technical guidance, and other ad-hoc reporting. What You'll Do • Work with a cross-functional team of data scientists, engineers, and functional partners to develop and maintain systems and processes to support Legal, Finance, and Accounting • Gain and deploy a deep understanding of the Spotify data ecosystem to support operational data requirements for legal requests • Partner with engineering teams to gather requirements and generate outputs for technically complex matters • Work with large data sets, solving complex problems in a fast-paced and dynamic environment • Drive process efficiencies through automation and delivery of data pipelines to enable self-service reporting and analytics • Work in an environment with a group of highly motivated individuals who are passionate about Spotify’s success Who You Are • 4+ years of experience in financial and/or legal data analysis • You have a degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or another quantitative discipline • You are skilled at using SQL and Python; experience using other analytic tools (e.g. Pandas, R, BigQuery) and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau) is a plus • You have a passion for solving complex problems through data analysis combined with a strong eye for business • You have proven experience communicating with both technical and non-technical teams to understand problems and articulate proposed solutions. • You can formulate meaningful conclusions from your analysis or investigations that inform business decisions • You have experience performing testing and validation of datasets and outputs created by other teams or members of your team • You have experience performing analysis over large and complex data sets Where You'll Be • Hybrid role based in our New York offices (average 2 to 3 days a week required) • Working hours? We operate within the Eastern time zone for collaboration The United States base range for this position is $107,766.00 - 153,951.00 plus equity. The benefits available for this position include health insurance, six month paid parental leave, 401(k) retirement plan, 23 paid days off, 13 paid flexible holidays, paid sick leave.
