Job Summary for Dining Room Associate: We are in need of a Dining Room Associate who is sociable, vigilant, and energetic to become part of our team. Ensure that Diners receive an exceptional dining experience. Provide service to Guests in a courteous, friendly, skilled, and timely manner while being attentive to their requests. Follow responsible alcohol service guidelines following Golden Corral Dining's policy and adhering to state and local regulations. Responsibilities: • Demonstrate exceptional understanding of the menu to describe our selections to patrons, update them on ongoing food promotions and specials, and address any inquiries they may have. • Writes food and beverage orders correctly on guest tickets and enters orders into POS in a timely manner, utilizing appropriate abbreviations and charges. • Transports food and drink orders to customers in a timely manner, involving the retrieval of dishes from the kitchen and serving them to guests within the server's section or any other allocated part of the dining area. • Proficient in evaluating guest actions and discerning the occasions that justify flagging a Manager, including situations occurring in the areas of other team members. • Adhere to alcohol awareness guidelines to verify age, prevent intoxication, and assist intoxicated patrons while adhering to company alcohol policies. • Ensure all financial transactions are error-free and maintain precision when dispensing coins for change. • Perform transactions accurately using credit card machines. • Efficiently calculates change due to the customer and returns the correct amount promptly. • Ensures table tidiness by clearing dishes promptly, checking drink levels, removing clutter, and providing ample napkins. • Maintains cleanliness standards at the station, sets up and takes down station tables appropriately. • Conducts opening and closing duties essential for daily operations. • Consistently follows the safety and sanitation procedures specified by the company. • Assists colleagues as needed or as determined by the business circumstances. • Encourages a supportive and cooperative working environment by maintaining positive relationships with all team members, thereby boosting morale. • Maintains a positive image of Golden Corral in all circumstances. • Keeps work environments clean and ensures tools, equipment, and supplies are stored properly.
