We are seeking an experienced Director of Strategic Finance to join Replit's growing team in Foster City, CA. As a leading AI software development platform, Replit is transforming how millions of developers build, collaborate, and deploy software. In this critical role, you'll lead our Strategic Finance team to support current vertical markets and evaluate new opportunities, while partnering with executive leadership and the Board to align financial strategies with our ambitious growth objectives and drive data-driven decision making across the organization. What You'll Do Own the Strategic Finance function , leading a small but high-impact team focused on shaping Replit’s long-term financial direction and identifying the most valuable opportunities for growth. Develop and present complex financial models, investment theses, and long-range planning scenarios for high-impact initiatives—including new market entry, M&A, infrastructure investments, and international expansion. Act as a key partner to the CFO, CEO, and Board , helping drive strategic planning, resource allocation, and capital markets readiness—including investor-facing financial storytelling and board materials. Lead financial strategy for infrastructure and compute investments , including cost modeling, vendor evaluation, and capital structure planning (e.g. debt financing and capital markets partnerships). Drive pricing and monetization strategy across product lines—owning pricing model design, packaging structures, and experiments to optimize revenue and margin performance. Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Engineering to evaluate unit economics, market entry opportunities, and business model evolution. Build and maintain a forward-looking capital allocation model to guide decision-making across headcount, compute, GTM spend, and global expansion. Design and refine business models for new products, data assets, and platform capabilities with an eye toward long-term margin profile and scalability. Support investor relations and fundraising readiness , including KPI development, forecasting, and scenario modeling that align with investor expectations. Instill a culture of ROI-based decision-making and capital efficiency across the organization—enabling leaders to make data-driven bets with confidence Required Skills & Experience 10+ years in corporate finance, investment banking, private equity, or strategic finance, including 2+ years in strategic finance Experience leading a high-visibility finance team Expert-level financial modeling skills and proficiency with business intelligence tools Strong presence and communication skills; proven collaboration with C-suite and board directors Exceptional business judgment with ability to synthesize data into strategic insights and drive capital allocation decisions Experience implementing forecasting/reporting systems and modernizing financial tools Self-directed with strong work ethic; ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines Join Replit and help shape the financial future of a platform that's revolutionizing how people learn, build, and deploy software with AI.
