Key Responsibilities
Primary Functions – Direct Instruction & Data‑Driven Intervention
- Deliver intentional, scripted literacy instruction using SEEDS (Sensitivity, Encouragement, Education, Development through Doing and Self‑Image Support) and SIPPS (Systematic Instruction in Phonological awareness, Phonics, and Sight words) frameworks.
- Facilitate daily small‑group sessions (minimum four groups per day) for TK‑2nd grade students, tailoring instruction to each group’s skill level.
- Utilize benchmark assessments (fall, winter, spring) and ongoing progress‑monitoring tools to track individual growth and adjust instruction accordingly.
- Collaborate with Lead Teacher Coaches and school principals to design an annual instructional schedule, set measurable goals, and review data bi‑weekly.
- Maintain 100% fidelity to scripted interventions, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all tutoring sessions.
- Record student performance data accurately in the district’s online database or designated Excel tracker, submitting updates weekly.
Secondary Functions – Collaboration, Professional Development, and Administrative Support
- Participate in mandatory SEEDS of Early Learning and SIPPS training sessions, as well as ongoing literacy coaching meetings (twice per month).
- Attend orientation, data review, and site‑wide professional development meetings at least three times per academic year.
- Engage in reflective practice by welcoming observation from coaches, incorporating constructive feedback, and setting personal improvement goals.
- Provide supplemental reading instruction in assigned classroom settings, reinforcing small‑group work and supporting whole‑class literacy initiatives.
- Submit electronic timesheets promptly and complete any additional duties assigned by supervisors or district leadership.
