Job Summary: Key Responsibilities and Expectations
As an Early Morning Stock Associate, you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have a positive shopping experience. Your primary focus will be on receiving and stocking merchandise, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and providing excellent customer service.
Essential Functions:
- Receives and stocks merchandise in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that the sales floor is well-merchandised and visually appealing.
- Maintains a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and customer areas.
- Provides excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer needs in a friendly and professional manner.
- Works collaboratively with other store team members to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive store environment, and ensure that customer needs are met.
- Operates store equipment, including PDTs, registers, and PCs, as required.
- Performs daily assigned tasks, such as sizing and recovery, to ensure that the store is well-maintained and efficiently merchandised.
- Maintains a high level of awareness on the sales floor to create a safe and secure shopping environment for everyone.
- Follows all company policies and procedures, including those related to cash handling, customer service, and loss prevention.
Qualifications and Special Skills Required:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers, associates, and store leadership.
- Basic mathematical skills, with the ability to perform calculations commonly used in retail environments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- Physical stamina to spend up to 100% of working time standing, walking, and moving around the store.
- Ability to regularly bend, squat, kneel, climb, carry, reach, and stoop.
- Ability to occasionally push, pull, and lift more than 25 pounds.
