We're looking for an experienced editor who can help us take our content to the next level. Our ideal candidate is someone who understands what drives engagement, retention, and subscriber growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Research and select amazing clips for videos that meet our high standards of quality and engagement
- Edit 5-7 videos per week, with each edit ranging from 22:00 to 36:00 in length
- Source extra footage to enhance video edits and ensure the highest quality
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both written and verbal
- Meet deadlines regularly and work efficiently to deliver high-quality content
- Understand what holds retention and gains subscribers, and apply this knowledge to your edits
Requirements and Qualifications:
Essential Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a video editor, specifically in the YouTube niche (list-style, discovery, space, archaeology, etc.)
- Portfolio of work that showcases your editing skills and experience in our niche
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as a remote team member
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro)
- Knowledge of YouTube's algorithm and best practices for engagement and retention
- Experience with sourcing and licensing footage
- Familiarity with celebrity, actor, television, and movie niches
