Egypt Shopify Developer Needed for Ongoing Project-Based Work - Contract to Hire

About Us We’re a Shopify-focused performance agency building high-converting ecommerce stores. We operate with a code-first philosophy: minimal apps, clean Liquid, modular sections, and fast-loading storefronts. Our projects range from standard Shopify builds to UI/UX optimizations, CRO-driven section creation, and new feature development. We are hiring Shopify Developers for long-term, project-based work (not hourly, not monthly). ⸻ Role Overview We’re looking for a reliable Shopify Developer who can deliver clean, well-structured code and follow existing patterns inside the Dawn theme. You’ll build and customize: • Homepages • Product pages • Collection pages • Custom sections • Slide carts • Headers/footers • UX improvements • Metafields / metaobjects data structures This role is development-only — no meetings with clients, no design work, no content responsibilities. You’ll collaborate internally with: • The Founder (project lead) • A Copy Layout Specialist • A Client Support Manager ⸻ Compensation This is project-based, not hourly. Ranging from 5000 LE to 25,000LE per project. ($105-$525) Each project has a predetermined payout based on complexity. (Example ranges: custom sections, full builds, template changes, metafield systems, etc.) All payouts are agreed upon before development begins. ⸻ Trial Period First Project = Trial Project Since this role is fully project-based, we do not use a traditional 7-day trial period. Your first assigned project will act as your paid trial. Here’s how it works: • You receive the full project payout only after the project is completed and delivered. • This ensures we both get to evaluate communication, code quality, speed, and fit. • If the first project goes well, you will be added to our ongoing pipeline for regular work There is no unpaid work — your first project is simply treated as your “trial project.” ⸻ Responsibilities • Develop custom Shopify sections using Liquid + JSON templates • Customize the Dawn theme to match Figma layouts or Google Doc structures • Implement metafields and metaobjects for dynamic content • Optimize for speed, performance, and clean code • Follow existing schema & structure conventions • Communicate clearly and update progress as needed • Use GitHub + VS Code connected to Shopify (required) ⸻ Requirements • 1+ year of real Shopify development experience • Strong in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript • Familiar with metafields, templates, JSON schemas, and dynamic sections • Comfortable modifying Dawn • Able to work from Google Doc site layouts(Adding Figma soon) • Must use GitHub for themes • Good English communication • Full time availability between 8am to 8pm(Only expected to complete 8 hours of dev work daily) • Reliable and self-managed • Fast response times during working hours ⸻ Nice to Have • Experience creating reusable sections & blocks • CRO-aware development (clean UX adjustments) • Experience with performance optimization • Ability to follow strict internal dev standards ⸻ Why Join Us? • No client communication — only internal team • Predictable project scopes • Clear instructions and layouts (Google Docs ) • Long-term pipeline of builds + CRO improvements • Clean, modern codebase • High-growth agency with consistent work Apply Now Apply Now
