About the position
The Endpoint Security Engineer at GuidePoint Security is responsible for supporting the design, build, and sustainment of endpoint-based cyber defense capabilities. This role involves daily interaction with various network security products and requires an active TS/SCI clearance. The engineer will work closely with stakeholders to integrate cybersecurity requirements and maintain production endpoint security solutions.
Responsibilities
• Implement and apply technologies, processes, and practices to protect networks, devices, programs, and data from malicious attacks.
• Establish computing environments by designing system configurations, directing installations, and enforcing system standards.
• Provide detailed information for hardware and software selection and implementation techniques to meet business needs.
• Configure and install various security products utilizing Linux OS.
• Research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide security solutions to support customer goals.
• Assist with design, analysis, testing, and implementation of secure architectures.
• Oversee security infrastructure sustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration.
• Lead the reporting, documentation, and investigation of security incidents.
Requirements
• Experience maintaining Enterprise Cyber Security Engineering requirements using tools like HBSS, Carbon Black Response/Protection, Microsoft ATA, Tanium.
• 3+ years of technical experience in Cybersecurity.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise/global networks in a diverse environment.
• Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework and key DoD network architecture instructions.
• Experience providing status reports to senior management and customers.
• Experience with plans, designs, and evaluations of security systems and architectures.
• Experience with Unix, RHELS OS, Windows Enterprise Active Directory architecture, and VMWare virtualization.
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.
• Must hold or obtain a CSSP Infrastructure Support certification within 6 months of hire.
