The Engineer-In-Training 1 role involves providing engineering services for transportation planning and design projects, including data analysis, report preparation, and design documentation. Responsibilities - Transportation Planning and Phase I Studies - Collect and analyze data from reports, maps, drawings and aerial photographs to plan projects - Assist in the preparation of transportation project reports - Prepares and checks design computations and quantity estimates - Use of computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents - Assist in the preparation of design plans, specifications, and cost estimates - Coordination with regulatory agencies, utility companies and sub-consultants to obtain information, guidance, and requirements - Adhere to company standards for quality assurance and quality control as defined in the quality manual Skills - Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering - Must possess 0 to 3 years of relevant transportation engineering work experience - Must possess Engineer Intern (EI) registration/licensure - Strong oral communication and technical writing skills - Proficiency with Microstation and Geopak.
