Entry-Level Tax Preparer

Overview We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Entry Level Tax Preparer to join our team. As an Entry Level Tax Preparer, you will prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses while gaining valuable experience in financial concepts and accounting practices. Duties • Prepare individual and small business tax returns accurately and efficiently. • Gather financial data from clients, including income statements, receipts, and other relevant documents. • Conduct basic analysis of financial data to ensure compliance with tax regulations. • Assist clients with questions regarding their tax returns and provide excellent customer service. • Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to provide accurate information to clients. • Collaborate with senior tax preparers and accountants to enhance knowledge of public accounting practices. • Maintain organized records of client information and documentation for future reference. Requirements • Experience with tax preparation or willingness to learn is preferred. • Strong math skills and proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate reporting. • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, demonstrating strong customer service skills. • Previous experience in financial sales or marketing is beneficial but not required. • Knowledge of technical accounting practices, bookkeeping, corporate accounting, or public accounting is advantageous.
