Job Summary:
The Environmental Analyst is an opportunity to build technical and advisory skills and enhance project management capabilities. This position will support the Federal Environmental Consulting Services business line. The Environmental Analyst will work closely with project managers and leaders and is ideal for professionals who would like to gain environmental technical execution experience and expertise. To be most successful, candidates need to be self-starters, bring energy, enthusiasm, and an attitude of collaboration that spans multidisciplinary teams, clients, and teaming partners.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Manager in creating, managing, and disbursing project deliverables, communications, and reports.
- Develop and manage relationships with current and potential clients.
- Apply knowledge of technical writing to strategic analysis to develop high-quality and results-oriented deliverables.
- Collaborate with the project team to complete the project within its planned scope, schedule, and budget, while serving as a liaison for the project’s technical, functional, and non-functional teams.
- Proactively seek out opportunities to support other Project Managers and develop professional and career interests and related skillsets relevant to Salas O’Brien business services.
- Maintain 90% billability (meaning the time is directly charged to various revenue-generating projects).
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
- S. in Environmental Engineering/Sciences/Studies, Geology, or related field.
- Proficient knowledge of environmental regulations, primarily Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA), and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) programs.
- 1-3 years of experience in environmental programs and/or regulatory compliance or related fields.
- Experience providing program management support for Federal or State organizations preferred.
- Proficient technical writing and reviewing skills.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong communication and outreach skills, stakeholder management, and an ability to cultivate relationships with external partners.
- Experience engaging, communicating with, or working closely with government or military officials, state or local government leaders, and other critical stakeholders.
- S. Citizenship required.
Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to learn project management and financial tracking programs.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Occasionally required to stand, walk, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl in indoor and outdoor locations.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of time to client sites.
- Regular and recurring exposure to moderate risks and discomforts including noise, high or low temperatures, dust and/or exhaust, adverse weather conditions, and occasional exposure to conditions in facilities, laboratories, or construction sites requiring normal safety precautions or some protective clothing.

Compensation:
The expected base salary range for this role is $29.00-$31.00 per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.
