Job description: Job Description Summary This role is the Plant Leader for the GE Aerospace Tubes and Ducts Part Family site in Beavercreek, Ohio. The Plant Leader will have full business leadership responsibility for operating the site with approximately 500 employees.Beavercreek is our 2 year old state of the art facility known as the Dayton Flyer site (this is 10miles east of central Dayton and 45miles north of Evendale). Situated on 53.5 acres, this new 280,000 square foot facility is the newest Dayton-area site for GE Aerospace, dedicated to engine component manufacturing for civil, military aviation and aero derivative applications. The site also has repair capability in addition to the new make manufacturing.Job DescriptionRole Summary/PurposeThe Plant Management role will be responsible for leading plant manufacturing operations for the Beavercreek Tubes and Ducts facility. This Site is focused on lean transformation that includes respect for people and continuous improvement with a strong problem solving culture to build on.Essential ResponsibilitiesIn this role, you will be accountable for planning and directing all aspects of the organization’s manufacturing, community relations and supply chain strategies, objectives, initiatives andpolicies, as well as play a key leadership role within the Tubes & Ducts organization.Leadership & Team Management Operational Excellence Quality Assurance In addition you will:Drive operations team towards execution of Business Goals using Lean Manufacturing MethodologyMeet plant safety and quality goalsEstablish all production schedules and meet customer’s delivery expectationsMonitor & improve cost productivity while ensuring all customer commitments are met in a timely, quality & compliant mannerEstablish and direct plant policies and proceduresHave a strong focus on employee relationsFoster well-trained and motivated staffSelect, train and develop plant supervisory and administrative staffProvide leadership for executing New Product Introductions (NPIs), with a strong network with engineering designEnsure sufficient capacity exists to achieve all customer commitmentsBe responsible for driving continuous improvements in factory yieldDrive Product Quality and Lean to ensure that internal business metrics are metDevelop & create training plans to maximize workforce capabilityContinually improve metricsConduct employee performance reviewsSchedule and conduct plant meetings; foster employee engagement and ensure that business and operational goals are effectively communicated to employeesPromote a working environment that encourages employee involvement to achieve excellence in productivity, customer service, quality, inventory and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS)Qualifications/RequirementsBachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 15 years of work experience with proven leadership in manufacturing or supply chain roleEligibility RequirementsThis role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protectedThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
