About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate 12th Grade Core Subjects Teacher to join our virtual academy team. As a virtual teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to our diverse student body, using best practices to ensure academic success and personal growth. You will be an integral part of our team, working closely with colleagues to develop and implement engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing ongoing support to ensure our students reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans, aligned to state standards, to engage and challenge our students
• Utilize technology to create an interactive, immersive learning environment, incorporating multiple platforms and tools to enhance student experience
• Monitor student progress, providing regular feedback and assessment to inform instruction and drive student growth
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement accommodations and modifications for students with diverse learning needs
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in virtual education and content area expertise
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a supportive, inclusive learning environment
• Contribute to the development of our virtual academy, sharing expertise and ideas to enhance our programs and services

Essential Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following essential qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in your area of instruction
• Experience with mastery-based or individualized learning approaches to student education (Preferred)
• 1-3 years of teaching experience in a Texas Public School
• 1-3 years of virtual teaching experience (Preferred)
• Documented experience teaching online courses for students in Grades 3-12, with successful completion of continuing professional development specific to online learning every three years (Preferred)
