About the Role As an Academic Tutor and Behavioral Coach with Club Xcite, you'll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with students of all ages, providing tailored support in academic subjects, social and emotional skills, and executive functioning. This role requires a strong foundation in education, psychology, or a related field, combined with excellent coaching and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Provide direct, one-on-one coaching and tutoring support to students, addressing their unique academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Prepare engaging lessons and materials for each coaching session, ensuring they align with the student's goals and objectives. Maintain regular communication with families regarding session schedules, student progress, and any concerns or issues that may arise. Track student progress using our goal-tracking system, making adjustments to the coaching plan as needed. Submit worked hours and maintain ongoing availability in our scheduling platform, TutorCruncher. Update client goal progress in our Goals Portal in a timely manner. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or higher in education, psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and adolescents who face behavioral, social, or emotional challenges. Availability for at least 3 weekdays from 3 pm to 7 pm, with flexibility to work occasional morning or weekend hours. Strong personal organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with online management platforms and strong communication skills across multiple mediums (in-person, email, etc.). The ability to commit to working with a client for a minimum of six months. A valid CA Mandated Reporter Training Certificate of Completion (required before providing client services). Reliable transportation and availability during weekdays. Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications can enhance your application: Experience working with students with diverse needs, including those with special educational requirements. Knowledge of educational technologies and digital tools that support student learning. Background in counseling or therapy, with the ability to provide emotional support and guidance.
