Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the functional resolution of Accounts Receivable (AR) issues between client management, specialty units, and clients to reduce overall exposure. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Issue Resolution (Short-term - Corrective Action)
- Regularly review existing reporting to identify areas for action and escalation
- Ensure action on late receivables for fast payment (primarily through Business Units)
- Work with acceleration and tracking of issue resolution (at receipt level if necessary)
- Review AR client cases, uncover underlying drivers, and initiate improvement projects
- Initiate A/R improvement exercises to be driven by Specialty Units
- Directly lead selected key projects, utilizing Best Practices/Six Sigma tools
- Follow up on escalation processes and ensure credit stops are supported by all relevant stakeholders
- Continuous Improvement (Mid-term - Preventive Action)
- Trigger primary process enhancements within Specialty Units to avoid repetitive root causes for non-payment
- Leverage best practices across accounts, regions, countries, and Specialty Units
- Continuously improve reporting quality within Business Units and CSI, shifting from reactive to proactive A/R management
- Stakeholder Management
- Act as a resource between Client Executive, Specialty Unit, Finance, and Client
- Close alignment and balancing of responsibility with stakeholders in different regions, Regional/International CFO, and Global Functional Lead
Essential and Preferred Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree or Master's in Operations, Finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
- A minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience in accounts receivable management or payables management
- Project management, stakeholder management, and virtual team management skills
- Business acumen and understanding of key financial and business principles
- Related knowledge of finance/accounts receivable is a plus
- Experience working in multi-cultural, global, and remote teams
- Excellent MS Excel skills
- Best Practices/Six Sigma certification is desirable
