Job Summary and Responsibilities As an In-Person Part-Time Tutor with Team Tutor, you will have the opportunity to work with students of all ages and skill levels, providing personalized instruction and support in a variety of subjects. Your responsibilities will include: Creating customized tutoring plans tailored to each student's unique needs and learning style Delivering high-quality, engaging instruction that promotes academic excellence and confidence Building strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment Communicating regularly with parents and guardians to provide progress updates and feedback Participating in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in education and tutoring Maintaining accurate records and reports to track student progress and inform instruction Essential Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must: Hold a state-issued teaching certification in a relevant subject area Have a minimum of 2-5 years of teaching experience, with a proven track record of success Be dynamic, patient, compassionate, and responsible, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Have updated clearances, including FBI, police record, and child abuse clearances Be available to tutor a minimum of 4 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate daytime and after-school scheduling Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following qualifications and skills are highly preferred: Special education certifications or experience working with students with diverse learning needs Experience with test prep and enrichment programs, as well as one-on-one and small-group tutoring Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Excellent technology skills, including proficiency in online learning platforms and educational software A passion for education and a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Team Tutor, we are committed to supporting the ongoing growth and development of our tutors.
