Job Summary and Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams and applying algorithms to large-scale data to drive business outcomes. Key responsibilities include: Designing and implementing AI strategies to enhance our developer experience platform and accelerate application development within Apple Collaborating with AI engineers, programmers, and other data scientists to deliver end-to-end AI-enabled solutions for our platform Applying machine learning algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and natural language processing to solve complex business problems Ensuring data quality through analysis, modeling, and handling missing values, anomalies, and model performance validation Presenting the results of analyses in a clear and meaningful way to both technical and non-technical audiences Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, and applying this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement in our platform Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred 2+ years of overall experience in the software industry, focused on machine learning and AI Proficiency in quantitative programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, and experience with distributed stores like S3, Flash, and Vector Database Experience with model deployment for experimentation and production A strong understanding of advanced AI and machine learning algorithms, deep learning, statistics, and natural language processing Experience with transformer architecture, vector embeddings, and applying models to solve different business problems Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into clear and actionable insights Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not essential, the following qualifications and skills are highly desirable: Experience with training models or using foundation models and retraining or fine-tuning to custom needs Experience applying machine learning methods in developer productivity is a plus Knowledge of cloud-based technologies and experience with agile development methodologies Experience working with cross-functional teams, including AI engineers, programmers, and other data scientists Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Apple, we are committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
