Job Overview We're looking for a highly motivated and experienced Branch Fabrication & Training Manager to manage multiple value streams, develop and implement training programs, and ensure the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity in our fabrication operations. The successful candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, experience with lean tools, and excellent leadership and communication skills. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement, optimizing manufacturing processes, and providing support for the development of new manufacturing processes and equipment capabilities. Key Responsibilities Coach, direct, and promote a culture of continuous improvement utilizing Lean principles, driving continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes Plan for current and future direct and remote workforce demand based on sales annually projection Assist with development and monitoring of all aspects of production, including selection of manufacturing methods, design, and fabrication of tooling, as well as fixturing and review of functional test procedures and testing methods Advise teams regarding system component requirements or direct modification of existing products/equipment to ensure conformance with engineering design intent and performance specifications Support project teams in planning major and complex piping systems projects, utilizing our shop floor system and data, Mendix software Provide troubleshooting of our shop floor system, understanding current system algorithm, and assist with its continuous improvement based on manufacturing, training, and scheduling needs Participate in planning and decision-making in matters concerning operational problems, inventory control, plant policy, maintenance issues, and workforce Compile, analyze, and production performance records and data to include quarterly variance reports, and provide manufacturing information to support business decisions Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 2 years of engineering experience in the mechanical pipe joining industry Experience designing with 3D CAD tools, including SolidWorks and AutoCAD Understanding of mechanical pipe joining by roll-grooving or cut-grooving techniques of different materials Ability to troubleshoot equipment and experience with lean tools, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Standard Workflow, Baseline, Line/Cell Design, Set-Up Reduction, Total Productive Maintenance, Pull Kanban, Root Cause Problem Solving, etc. Experience working in an ISO 9000 environment and knowledge of OSHA requirements Preferred Qualifications Experience in a leadership or management role, with a proven track record of driving continuous improvement and optimizing manufacturing processes Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Experience with digital solutions, such as Learning Management Systems, and the ability to create and manage systematic training programs Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to compile, analyze, and production performance records and data Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Victaulic, we're committed to providing our employees with opportunities for growth and development.
