Key Responsibilities
- Engage with lenders, banking and mortgage institutions, and consumers to provide information and answer questions about HUD FHA and reverse mortgages.
- Utilize your knowledge of mortgage origination and customer service principles to resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Navigate and effectively use our Customer Relationship Management application, related websites, and support tools to manage customer interactions.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex customer issues.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and ensure data integrity within our systems.
- Collaborate with internal teams to stay updated on industry developments, product knowledge, and best practices in customer service.
- Work a scheduled 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, within the hours of 8am to 8pm Eastern Time, based on business needs.
Essential Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following basic qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience in FHA loan origination (as a loan processor, underwriter, or loan officer) combined with an additional year of customer service or contact center experience.
- Alternatively, at least three years of experience in loan origination working with conventional loans and/or other government-backed loans (FHA, USDA, VA).
- Two to four years of college or equivalent work experience.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in basic PC skills, including MS Office, and the ability to navigate complex software applications.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to analyze problems, manage time effectively, and type at least 35 words per minute.
Preferred Qualifications
While not mandatory, the following qualifications are highly desirable:
- Extensive experience in mortgage origination, particularly with FHA and reverse mortgages.
- A deep understanding of the mortgage industry, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
